Chapter 2-PEACE,p.12

The tears still flowed, yet a weak smile spread across her chapped lips.  If you were to look at her in that moment, you might assume that she was remembering sweet times of her mother.  But if you were to look even closer, you would see that her smile was too sure to be from sweet memories.
A smile that confident could only mean one thing, she loved Jesus...and she was praying to Him. 
But be assured Ma was filled with joy.  Because on her way back up that path, she had renewed peace...peace that neither rock, nor brook could offer.  Peace that passed all understanding.


Chapter 10-THE SECRET,p.46

"Really, Casri.  What's bothering you?" 
His words sounded so comforting and trustworthy that she decided that Ethan was worthy to behold her secret and she poured out her story.  When she was done, he simply sat there in silence.  Not speaking for quite some time.  Only the faint humming of Mr. Rox could still be heard.
